Pulse 101.7 also wants to share some other helpful tips to help you have a fun AND safe holiday!

1. Adult Supervision: Always have a responsible adult in charge of lighting fireworks. It keeps things safe and ensures everyone can enjoy the show.

2. Keep Kids Safe: Never give fireworks, even sparklers, to small children. Instead, provide them with safe alternatives like glow sticks.

3. Stay Sober: The person lighting the fireworks should avoid drinking alcohol. It helps keep the situation under control and safe for everyone.

4. Read and Prep: Always read and follow the directions on the firework’s label. Set them up on a stable, flat surface away from flammable materials to ensure a safe display.

5.  Water Ready: Keep a bucket of water or garden hose nearby for emergencies. After the show, soak used fireworks in water to make sure they’re completely out before disposing of them.

Enjoy the fireworks and stay safe!
