Dear Pulse Music lover,
Our fall fund-raiser for Pulse 101.7 was very weak. Because of this we face a shortfall of about $25,000 between now and the end of the year.
– We have unpaid management staff of $6000
– We have three different music royalty companies to pay:
Sesac $2400 / BMI $3100 / ASCAP $1850
– Office and studio rent in the amount of $6000
– Miscellaneous mail/office expenses on our bankcard of $3500
– Accounting fees of $1600
All of this represents about 1/12th of our annual budget. We have an awesome part-time staff, which we would like to keep intact, but cuts will dictate those decisions. This will also impact our CityStop educational effort (very successful this year) and Afterdark youth outreach (just launching this month), as well as responsiveness to all of the opportunities for connection that have been coming to us over the last year and a half.
Cuts would allow us to continue to play music, however, our mission effort would be severely hampered by not making up this shortfall.
We are excited about how God is working through our music, our staff and board, our mission, and our educational outreach effort – but unless we meet these obligations by the end of the year we will need to reorganize.
Thanks for praying and giving. If you choose to give to this need between now and December 15, you’ll be making a very big difference for your station.

Psalm 24 – A Psalm of David.
The earth is the LORD’S, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it. For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood and has not sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face – even Jacob. Selah.
Lift up your heads, O gates, and be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in! Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O gates, and lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in! Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah.
