Pulse listener Cheryl wrote in with a story that has really touched my heart:
“Our son was diagnosed March 1st, 2012 with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He was hospitalized after his second round of chemo with a fever that turned into pneumonia; combined with virtually no immune system and asthma, he was dangerously ill. At the same time, our younger daughter spiked a fever and was growing sick with walking pneumonia. My husband and I were exhausted from running back and forth trying to stay with him, take care of her and not neglect our oldest either. The car was literally my decompression chamber and there were many times I drove back and forth with tears running down my face.
In the midst of the worst of that week, I got in the car to drive back to the hospital and the song, He Said, by Group1Crew came on the radio. Listening to the chorus was like God speaking directly to my heart that evening; every time I hear that song now, I go right back to that moment when God reminded me just how big He is and how circumstances may bend me but He won’t let me break.
When I got back to the hospital and up to my son’s room I told him what had happened and how that song had spoken God’s truth to me. I asked him if he had ever heard it and he said, “Mom, I can probably recite every word.” Why? Two words: Pulse radio – you play music that truly makes a difference! Thank you for blessing our family.”
