Freedom for Youth’s Teen Arts Fest affirms dignity and boosts self-confidence by creating a marketplace where skills class participants demonstrate their talents and learn entrepreneurship, customer service, and the basic principles of employment. Shoppers and supporters of Freedom for Youth can purchase pottery, wood works, décor, jewelry and other gift items made by program participants. Fifty percent of proceeds go back to the students and the balance to Freedom programming. Just in time for Christmas gift giving, the Freedom for Youth Teen Arts Fest is Saturday, December 14, 10 am – 1 pm, at 2301 Hickman Road, in Des Moines!
