We had an awesome time this past week, having an epic party in the West Des Moines and Urbandale Parades!

 

First, we were at the West Des Moines parade on Thursday night. It was great to have the ladies from Dance-A-Cross studio following behind us and dancing to our music. These girls are so upbeat and positive. We had some awesome volunteers to work with this year. It’s amazing to have a group of faithful and passionate listeners to join us for such a large event. They did a great job representing the station by handing out candy, music guides, stickers and had smiles on their face the whole time. It was a beautiful evening for a parade. Being able to share Pulse music for thousands in the community Thursday night was an amazing feeling. Seeing so many of our listeners on the street and hearing them cheer us on was great!

 

The next morning we joined in on the fun happening at the Urbandale parade for the fourth of July. As Pulse hits got the crowd moving, the kids excited, and plenty of shouts and excited waves from the crowd, we found it very easy to rock along with them! We also got to hang out with some really awesome super heroes, we may have had some fanboy & fangirl moments.  We were also very, very grateful for the Pulse 101.7 Street Team, who gave their July Fourth morning and had a blast helping out with the event!

 

Something that is really cool to reflect on, for both of these parades, is the fact that though there were a lot of other radio stations playing music for the crowd, we were the only radio station continually playing positive, family-friendly music that the kids and parents could rock out to, and the lyrics were impacting the ears and hearts of those listening with an uplifting, real, and positive message!

 

We had a great time at these events, and want to thank those in charge of the West Des  Moines and Urbandale parades for letting us participate for another great year in these events.
