This fall has been an excellent one for CityStops! We’ve been out to so many fun events and a few of them include Trunk-Or-Treats in the area. These events are a blast because they are a safe and fun way to celebrate Halloween in a church and family setting. Cars gather around church parking lots and decorate their trunks with different themes and hand out candy to each of the kids that stop by. Over the past couple of weekends I was able to stop out to West Des Moines Christian Church and Westkirk Presbyterian Church in Urbandale for their Trunk-Or-Treat events. We are very blessed that each of them allowed us to join in the fun!
We’ve also had the opportunity to speak to youth at a few indoor events this fall, including Single Parent Night at Valley Community Center and Grace Fellowship’s Youth Lock-In just this past weekend. It was great talking to the kids with Grace Fellowship. The lock-in was at their new location on the east side of Des Moines. This location is in a rough area of town so it was an awesome opportunity to bring positive music to a community that needs it. About half of the kids at the lock-in were passionate Pulse listeners and the other half had never heard of us before but were extremely excited about the new music options made available to them by our station.
This past weekend was also the last that North River Corn Maze was open for the year. It’s been awesome getting to stop out multiple times this fall for youth groups. We’re excited to stop out again next year!
