Run for Central America – Des Moines Half Marathon

An event every week that begins at 7:30 AM on Saturday, repeating until 2022-10-15
In partnership with ENLACE and Run for Central America, a group of runners will be training for the IMT Des Moines Half Marathon beginning July 30, 2022. The IMT Des Moines Half Marathon race takes place Sun., Oct. 16, 2022.
Runners of all ages and skill levels are invited to join TEAM Running with Hope, who will meet Saturdays between July 30-Oct. 15 at 7:30 AM at the circle drive main entrance right outside Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines (925 Jordan Creek Parkway, West Des Moines, IA 50266). The team will do Saturday training runs together; team members can then complete their own training throughout the week.
All are welcome! Through partnership with Run for Central America, race entry is waived–participants instead fundraise $600 to benefit ENLACE, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that serves to bridge churches and communities in rural El Salvador to complete community improvement initiatives including building composting latrines, wells, and community gardens.
