We recently heard from Ed, who discovered Pulse about a decade ago:
“I grew up in southwest Iowa. When I was 16, my older sister was going to DMACC in Ankeny and my parents let me drive my first interstate trip to stay with her for the weekend. On the way, I was scanning the radio and heard Switchfoot playing on Pulse. I was blown away and so excited that a radio station was playing such quality Christian music! I can still remember that drive in 2008.
I later went to college at Iowa State and listened to Pulse on the local signal (Ames 95.5) that made it available to me while driving, while with friends, as my alarm… It meant so much to me to have that music available during those four years where God grew me so much in my faith and surrounded me with so much amazing Christian community and support.
After college I went down to tech school for the Air Force in Texas and now armed with my first smart phone, learned that Pulse had an app. That app truly became my go-to for music while in the car, running around, all of it. Secretly, one of my favorite parts of the app was hearing the weather forecast for back home. Such a blessing it was to have that link to home.
After Texas, God took me to Alaska where I’ve been since 2015. While serving in the military here I’ve gone to Korea, Japan, Guam and all over the U.S. Every step of the way, I can’t begin to explain what a blessing it’s been to have the Pulse app so readily available.
Thank you so much for the God honoring music that you provide.”
Isn’t God’s timing just perfect? When we think of just how many people have had access to the encouragement Pulse provides as they grow up and discover their God-given purpose, we’re blown away. We’d like to invite you to help make this continue to happen for thousands of listeners! Make a year-end tax-deductible gift to your station today. Thank you!
