Despite the cooling weather, we still had some really awesome CityStops this weekend, and the best part about them (for me) was they were inside!
Our first stop was on Saturday morning at Valley Community Center. We made a stop out there to watch as 40 high school kids volunteered to sort through all of your Winter Warmth Drive donations. It was a blessing to see a whole gym filled with coats, snow pants, boots, hats gloves and so much more. The Pulse 101.7FM community helped make this possible! It was even cooler to see high school kids sort through all of the donations to make sure each of them got to a student in need. While the kids took a short break, we were able to share a little bit with them about our station and the power of positive music in their lives – and we gave them some free stuff for helping out!
The next stop was on Sunday night, as I ventured out to Winterset Community Church to hang out with their youth group! Stopping out to Winterset was pretty awesome since it’s where our tower is located — thankfully all of the kids know our station and listen! It was great getting to share about our mission to the group and see their excitement about the station.
If you have a group of kids in the area or a youth group that you would like us to stop out and chat with, we would love to! Request your FREE CityStop today.
