This past week we were able to celebrate the last day of school with a lot of awesome kids and got to attend a party in the park!
The first school we were able to go to was Des Moines Christian’s last day. Something we continue to enjoy and hear is kids excitedly coming up to the car and telling us how much they love our station! I honestly wish I had been able to talk more with all of the kids, but we had so many coming up to the car! Thank you to DMC for continuing to let us partner with them and for letting us come out to celebrate their last day of school!
The next school we stopped by was Hoover high school. The awesome thing about this CityStop was that we were blessed, once again, by Chic-Fil-A, who donated 100 sandwiches for us to hand out to students as they left! Though I expected them to go fast, I didn’t realize Danielle and I would have to make an assembly line together as we passed out sandwich after sandwich to excited students! Thanks again to Chic-Fil-A for being awesome and willing to serve our community and partner with us to do great things like this!
Friday night we were able to stop out to Walnut Creek Church’s “Party In the Park” – it was their post “Mission To The City” celebration. Thank you for doing all the work you have done for our community and spreading hope! It was great to interact with the families and hand out frisbees to the kids. Thank you for inviting us to the party!
