…of a Pulse 101.7FM WinterJam SuperFan! Grace and Katie had a great time receiving star treatment from Pulse 101.7FM at WinterJam this past weekend. Here’s a recap they sent us of their experience:
Dear Pulse 101.7 Staff,
My sister Katie and I wanted to thank you for allowing us to have had the chance to experience such a great night. We wanted to give you a recap from our awesome night at Winter Jam.
We were so excited, we could barely handle waiting in the line for the doors to open. When we got in the building we found David Langley waiting for us. He took us down to the floor where we found our seats, in the front row! Which was awesome! Then when we were waiting for the Q&A to start we were able to meet and take a picture with Jacob Oswald from OBB. He was really nice and funny. During the Q&A we learned that Matthew West loves to eat (especially other people’s food). He was really funny! After that we met Pastor Bobby and went back stage. On our way to look at the tour bus we met and took a picture with Matthew West and got his signature. We also met and got autographs from RED’s drummer Joe Rickard, and Tauren Wells from Royal Tailor. The tour bus was really cool!
After our tour we went back to our seat for the pre jam. Capital Kings, OBB, and Jason Castro were really good. As the night went on, we listened to some more really great music. RED was awesome! Because of the such great seats we had it felt like the flames were touching us! It was so HOT, but really COOL! Royal Tailor really got things going, they were really up beat and had lots of energy. Tauren Wells has some great dance moves! They made you want to get up and dance with them! My sister and I are both teenage girls who love to play musical instruments and sing, so we really enjoyed Jamie Grace. She is such an inspiration for both of us. We hope to be like her someday and perform on the Winter Jam stage! (hint, hint)
TobyMac was AMAZING as always! He was one of our favorites. We loved all of the bands though, they were all awesome. David and Pastor Bobby would stop by during the night to see how we were doing and if everything was good. They are both great guys. During one of TobyMac’s songs Pastor Bobby came and asked Katie and I if we would like to dance on the stage for the last song? YES! So for three of TobyMac’s last songs we got to stand backstage and sing and dance with OBB while we waited to go on for the last song. Being on the stage made both Katie’s and my night, maybe even our year! It’s was cool being up there with all the artists and looking out at all the people having fun praising God with us!
After that we were backstage and Katie got to hug Jamie Grace. We were able to give TobyMac a high five after. We took one last picture with OBB. Then we left to go find our friends from our church (Willow Creek Baptist) Shout out! Both of our hands were shaking we were so excited! As we left we both didn’t want the night to end it was SUCH an great experience and we will never forget it! So thank you again Pulse 101.7FM for the great time. Also thank you David for being with us during the night, and thanks to everyone who made Winter Jam possible! We had a amazing time worshiping God with tons of other people who believe.
With Love, Grace and Katie
