Indianola Community Church was the place to be last night! The Newsboys were in concert with Abandon, Anthem Lights, and The City Harmonics. All four bands put on a powerful performance and it was great to have the opportunity to introduce them from the stage. Echo and Langley both threw out Pulse 101.7FM frisbees to the crowd beforehand and it was so cool to see the Pulse logo everywhere while they were announcing the bands.
This was the perfect show for Pulse 101.7FM fans! The first people allowed into the building were the VIPs, three of which were winners of from our Music Advisory Team! Every month the Music Advisory Team takes a survey Rachel Leigh sends out to make sure we are playing the music you love! For this particular survey, we offered three people a set of tickets to the Newsboys concert with VIP backstage access and choice seating. The winners of this exciting prize were; Nathanael Spencer, Rachel Williams, and Amber Upah! Congratulations guys!
Before the show, the Newsboys did a Q&A with the VIPs and performed an exclusive acoustic set. To make this even more exciting they took time to sign shirts, CDs, and posters while they took pictures with everyone. Needless to say, it was a pretty cool prize to win on top of an incredible show! The Music Advisory Team helps us know we are playing the music you love, and it helps you win prizes like this. While meeting the bands upstairs was pretty neat, the real show was on stage! Anthem Lights, Abandon, The City Harmonics, and Newsboys all in one show? I’m surprised the building held up! It was so cool to meet some of the artists that make up Pulse 101.7FM music! We just posted photos from the night on our facebook page so if you were there (or someone you know was there) start tagging yourselves! We have some great shots of both the show and backstage so check them out and don’t forget to “like” us if you haven’t already!
