It seems to me that the best way I can participate in the National Day of Prayer is to think about and articulate the things that pull at my heart. Here you go…
#1 – For a spiritual awakening among our neighbors – in our city.
#2 – Everything mentioned in the “Lord’s Prayer.”
#3 – Replacement of the spirit of anger and self-righteousness with the freedom of faith
#4 – That mothers’ and fathers’ hearts would turn to their children… and children to their parents.
#5 – That not one politician would get his or her OWN way – in anything.
#6 – The failure of pure evil (human trafficking, drugs, oppression…)
#7 – For widows and orphans around the world.
#8 – For a high value on being a good friend.
#9 – Recognition that there is truly a spiritual battle to which we are inextricably linked.
#10 – Equal value for babies in the womb as we place upon birthing adults.
