A friend of mine recently put the following thoughts into words, and I think he’s spot-on. Wherever and whenever you give, may you experience the blessings described here:
“A common scenario for ministries is to emphasize a need and then encourage believers to give to that need. Clearly, we all want to see God’s Kingdom grow. And when ministries like Pulse 101.7 have a need for finances, it only makes sense for them to communicate those needs to you.
Most often in the bible, Jesus emphasizes giving because of the impact it has on the giver. For example, when the rich man comes to Jesus and asks what he needs to do to inherit eternal life, Jesus said to give all that he has to the poor.
Giving is an outward action of our faith. Thus, it seems that we (the givers) benefit the most by the giving, rather than as receivers. This should not be a surprise, since Jesus said it is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Happy Giving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at Pulse 101.7FM!
